So I have a mild infatuation with computers...
It might be a little awkward to some, but I've developed something of an intimate relationship with the little processing boxes
I can't bear to think about someone trashing their laptop because its old or because they have a new one.  And much to the disdain of my girlfriend, we have accumulated 3 additional laptops and 1 desktop in a matter of months.  Keep in mind that its one my pastimes to fiddle with them and get them working again.  All are now working with the exception of 1 laptop (which I'm going to point the finger at a power supply issue).  The desktop went from garbage to glory --- it is now our primary terminal for both work and fun.
I even managed to resurrect an Alienware laptop that was going to become scrap silicon and is now kickin' like a thai boxer, lol.
